Director of Production
Members at Large Positions
The New Tampa Players Board has 4 Members at Large positions open for election. Current board members may also be running. Members at large will be asked to chair a committee or chair a special project. Current committees are fundraising, development, membership, public relations, and marketing.
General Board Responsibilities
Each Board Member is a liaison to our members, partners, co-collaborator's, and Tampa Bay community. As such, every Board Member should at all times present themselves and the organization in a professional, ethical, and positive manner. Board members are expected to display a positive attitude, show concern for people and community, demonstrate presence, self-confidence, common sense, and good listening ability.
All members are expected to provide sound, ethical, and legal oversight of the organization.
All Board Members are permitted, and even encouraged to volunteer for other community theatre organizations. However, as an NTP Board Member, one must always be mindful of the best interests of New Tampa Players.
Board Members are encouraged to leverage personal resources and connections for the good of New Tampa Players.
Board Members are responsible for continually developing new skills or enhancing existing skills needed to support the organization's mission. This may mean reading literature relevant to a specific area, attending a workshop, or finding an opportunity to work alongside a more experienced person. For example, a Board member responsible for grant writing should attend grant writing workshops.
In addition to assisting with fundraising activities, all board members are responsible for personally raising money for the organization at one of the following levels: 1) $100, 2) $250, or 3) $500 during each calendar year.
Board Members are expected to attend all board members unless excused by the president.

Elections will be Sunday, December 6th. If you are interested in a board position, please submit a letter of interest and resume to Nora Paine, President at by Tuesday, December 1st.
