Alex Alfonso: Cinderella’s Father
Alex is very happy to be included in NTP’s production of Into the Woods! Alex has participated in several productions—onstage and off—with New Tampa Players since 2012, many of them as a peer mentor with the Penguin Project. Alex would like to thank Karissa, Nora, Frank, and the rest of this cast and crew for their patience and hard work in bringing Sondheim’s music to life. Enjoy the show!
Alexandra Greenberg: Lucinda
Alex is delighted to embark on their New Tampa Players debut in Into the Woods! After a three-year hiatus from musical theater, this production signifies a heartfelt return to the stage. Previous performances include Newsies (Romeo), Guys and Dolls (Angie the Ox), Little Shop of Horrors (Ensemble), and Mamma Mia (Ensemble). Alex extends profound gratitude to family and friends for their unwavering support. As the journey unfolds, remember: "Anything can happen in the woods“
Becki Mallet: Milky White Puppeteer
Becki Mallett is excited to be back on the stage at New Tampa Players! You might have seen them most recently at NTP as the Mad Hatter in Shrek or tapping their toes in Singing in the Rain, as Grandma Rosie in Wedding Singer or The Jester in Once Upon a Mattress at Carrollwood Players, and looking on the bright side in Spamalot at Carrollwood Cultural Center. They have been involved in theater for over 20 years and are very excited to be a part of Into the Woods. You can find them at many conventions and renaissance festivals around the US, onstage; dancing, fighting, or acting. They would like to thank their family and friends for all their support!
Blaine Steven Edward Moss: The Wolf, Puppeteer
Blaine is absolutely delighted to play the part of The Wolf in Into the Woods at NTP as this is his first time performing on stage since 2016. Thankful for the wonderful community, he hopes to continue his theater journey in the near future! In his time off stage Blaine can usually be found at home reading or taking care of his beloved dog, cats, spiders, frogs, and snake. He currently works as a bartender at Bonefish Grill in Lutz, and loves visitors! He would like to say an extra thanks to NTP for being so welcoming and to his exquisite partner KJ for always making him feel like a superstar. He hopes you enjoy the performance and would like to inform the audience that The Wolf’s favorite green is- AROOgula.
Brian Tighe: Narrator/Mysterious Man
Brian Tighe is excited to perform in his first show at New Tampa Players! A New Jersey native, he has performed in over 20 musicals and is co-founder of Mystic Vision Players. Favorite credits include Jesus Christ Superstar (Peter), Camelot (Arthur), and Phantom (Buquet), and multiple productions of Guys & Dolls, George M, and Anything Goes. Brian works as VP of Project Controls for a global construction firm. He would like to thank his family for their support and the NTP staff for this “once upon a time” opportunity!
Callie Robles: Snow White, Puppeteering Ensemble
Callie is thrilled to be making her New Tampa Players debut! She has a great love of singing and music, previously performing in an a capella group and choir. She is honored to have worked with Karissa, Nora and the rest of the amazing cast and crew of NTP’s Into the Woods for her first musical theatre production! Off the stage, Callie works for The Navigators ministry and is so thankful for her community there. She sends love and gratitude to her husband and all of her wonderful friends and family for their endless encouragement and support. Enjoy this incredible show!
Colleen Chambers: Rapunzel
Colleen is excited to journey into the woods for her first production with NTP. Originally from Ohio, she participated in theatre and dance throughout high school and college before taking a hiatus to complete her nursing degrees. She holds her doctorate in nursing practice (DNP) and is a nurse practitioner at All Children’s Hospital. Colleen is also an Irish dancer and performs with professional Irish dance groups including the Irish Echoes local to central FL. Colleen is grateful to her husband, family & friends for their support. Colleen dedicates her performance to her grandma - her witch, who stays with her always.
Gabriel White Marin: Cinderella’s Prince
Gabriel White Marin is thrilled to be back on stage after a two-year hiatus. An alumnus of Howard W. Blake High School, a magnet school for the arts, he has a background in high school theatre and is excited for the opportunity to perform again. Being part of Into the Woods has been a wonderful experience; he’s been consistently impressed by the supportive and talented cast and crew who have made rehearsals such a fun and growth-oriented space. He wishes to specifically thank his parents for their unwavering support and his friends for their endless encouragement.
Génesis Rodríguez Dávila: Cinderella
Génesis is proud to make Into the Woods her first full musical, and to be making that debut with NTP! She currently is a music director in her church and is a 2023 AACS winner, earning first in the state and second in the nation for the category of Female Vocal Solo. Genesis is currently studying both Voice and Mass Communications as a double major and hopes to someday be able to sing for a living. Genesis would like to thank God, her parents and her family above all for the constant support and the caring open arms of the New Tampa Players.
Hope Lelekacs: The Baker’s Wife
Hope Lelekacs (The Baker’s Wife) is thrilled to be making her NTP debut with Into The Woods! She recently graduated from the University of Tampa with her BFA Musical Theatre and BA Creative Advertising/PR and was last seen regionally in Fiddler On The Roof at the Aspen Music Festival. Some of her past work includes Sally Bowles (Cabaret), Judy Bernly (9 to 5), Hope Cladwell u/s (Urinetown), Mrs. Tottendale (The Drowsy Chaperone), and Audrey (Little Shop of Horrors). Hope would like to thank the production team and cast for their collaboration and trust throughout this process, her family and friends for their support, and NTP for the opportunity to share this story. This one’s for you Dad!
Jennifer Emerson: Jack’s Mother
Jennifer began singing in kindergarten. In 1991, as a music major in Pensacola, FL, she played Jack’s Mother in Into the Woods. She was also seen in Showboat, La Pericole and Me and My Girl. Jennifer took a long break from the stage after college, but returned to the community theater stage in 2013 in the Pensacola area. She has enjoyed roles in Dixie Swim Club, Beached Wails, Soulmate Central and various variety shows. For one of the variety shows, Jennifer was asked to be the musical director. She arranged and directed (and sang) several musical numbers for the show. This is Jennifer’s first time working with Nee Tampa Players. She is proud and deeply honored to be sharing the NTP stage with such talented, amazing, wonderful and lovely people.
Jordyn Green: The Giant/Ensemble
Jordyn Green (She/Her) is a 21-year-old actress, born and raised in Tampa, Florida. This is her second show with New Tampa Players, her first being in Shrek (Fairy Godmother) and this is her second time doing Into the Woods (Little Red Riding Hood). Her other favorite roles have been in The Addams Family (Wednesday) and Theory of Relativity (Amy/Caroline). She would like to thank Karissa, the rest of the cast, and her friends and family for all their support. Enjoy your trip into the woods and thank you for supporting your local artists.
Kayla Bennett: Cinderella’s Stepmother
Kayla Bennett is originally from Indiana. After graduating from Millikin University with a Bachelors in Theatre Arts she performed in several professional and regional theatres such as Beef and Boards, Round Barn Theatre, and Myers Dinner Theatre. Back in Indiana, Kayla went on to open her own company, Arbor Productions, and transitioned to directing and producing theatrical productions. Kayla moved to Florida three years ago and is grateful to return to the theatre world with Into The Woods and make her debut with New Tampa Players. Kayla would like to thank her boyfriend, Bryan, for supporting her in this endeavor. She would like to dedicate her performance to John P. Blair. Rest in peace. This one’s for you!
Kristin Nelson: Florinda
Kristin is thrilled to return to the NTP stage after she was seen last season as Dora Bailey in Singin’ in the Rain! This production is a full circle moment for Kristin, as her first show ever was also Into the Woods in 2019, where she played Rapunzel, so she is over the moon to step back into this incredible story with this rockstar team! Some of her favorite roles include Fraulein Kost (Cabaret), Betty Jean (The Marvelous Wonderettes), Audrey (Leading Ladies), Candy (Zombie Prom), Charlotte (Cinderella). She also had an opportunity in November 2024 to originate a role in Eternal Night: A Rock Opera as a Vampire Bride! Kristin is more than honored to have been a part of this production as both a cast member and wig stylist, which is her second favorite hobby. Lena Wigfall: Little Red Ridinghood
Lena Wigfall is an actress from Tampa, Florida who grew up being heavily involved in the arts. She quickly fell in love with musical theatre, and has been acting for the last 10 years. Her dream is to one day be on Broadway, and continue to explore her love for directing, writing, and music. She is beyond excited to be portraying one of her dream roles in NTP’s Into The Woods! She would like to give a big thank you to her friends and family for their endless love and support, and to her new friends- here’s to many more “moments in the woods.”
Makayla Raines: The Witch
Makayla has been performing since the age of three and has dedicated her life to the art of theatre. From the moment she stepped on stage, she knew storytelling through music and movement was her greatest passion. Over the past 15 years, she has honed her craft as both an actress and singer, and for the past three years, she has shared her love of theatre as a choreographer in the Tampa area. Stepping into the role of the Witch in Into the Woods has been both a humbling challenge and an incredibly fulfilling experience—one she has dreamed of for years. Makayla is honored to bring her interpretation of this iconic character to life and hopes to inspire others the way theatre has always inspired her. She is beyond grateful to the production team for their unwavering support and to this phenomenal cast, who have become like family throughout this process.
Megan Melody: Cinderella’s Mother
Megan Melody is thrilled to make her return to the stage after a 10-year hiatus, joining this incredible cast of Into the Woods as both Granny and Cinderella's Mom. Megan previously appeared in roles such as Annie Sullivan in Miracle Worker (NTP) and Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz (WPA). After dedicating over a decade to her medical education, Megan now works as an oncologist at Tampa General Hospital Cancer Institute. She is immensely grateful to her husband, Eric, for his unwavering support throughout her career and hobbies, as well as to her amazing cast members and production team for their patience and encouragement as she regains her theatrical footing.
Richard Brown: The Baker
Richard is a local Tampa Bay actor who is thrilled to be back with New Tampa Players for this production of Into the Woods. Some of his past shows include: Assassins (Czolgosz), the Prom (Trent), 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (Barfee), Newsies (Davey), and most recently in New Tampa Players production of Little Shop of Horrors (Seymour). He feels absolutely blessed to be sharing this stage with such a wonderful and talented cast. He would love to thank Karissa, Frank, and Nora for creating such a safe space and for taking chance on him. He would also like to thank his friends and loved ones for the continuous love and support.
Sam Kantrowitz: Ensemble/Puppeteer
Sam is a Junior at USF studying Mass Communications with hopes of working for a major TV network. He is excited to be performing in Into The Woods. This is his first show with New Tampa Players and 2nd show in Florida. Sam was last seen as Mr Stratton in Eight O’Clock Theatre’s Barnum. Other credits include Matilda (Miss Trunchbull) Phantom of the Opera (Reyer) and Titanic (Edger). Sam would like to thank the cast and creative team for making this a fun and meaningful experience and his parents for instilling a love of performance.
Tobias is a sophomore in high school who enjoys Super Mario, programming, playing the violin, art, and puppeteering. He has been a Penguin Project peer mentor for 6 years and also works backstage for many productions. He would like to thank Karissa and Frank for this opportunity!
G. Frank Meekins: Musical Direction
Originally from Boston, Frank moved to Tampa in 1998 and since that time has worked with many local high school and community theatre groups throughout the greater Tampa Bay area. He musically directed NTP’s first production, They’re Playing Our Song, in addition to A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, Music Man, Camelot, Annie, Pippin, She Loves Me, Beauty and the Beast, Addams Family, Legally Blonde, Annie, and Little Mermaid. He directed and musically directed NTP’s productions of A Grand Night for Singing – Rodgers and Hammerstein Musical Revue, The Sound of Music, You’re A Good Man Charlie Brown, Mary Poppins, Into The Woods, Quilt, Snapshots, Snoopy, Grease, Dreamgirls, and Singin in the Rain. Recently, he directed NTP’s 2021 production of The Laramie Project: 10 Years Later. Involved in all aspects of musical theatre from set design and construction to lighting design and execution, from stage management to directing and musically directing, Frank has participated in over 385 productions throughout New England and Tampa Bay including A Chorus Line, Les Miserables, Chicago, Urinetown, Honk, Mame, Hello Dolly, Jesus Christ Superstar, Oklahoma, Annie Get Your Gun, The Boyfriend, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, All Shook Up, Perfectly Frank, Anything Goes, Caba-ret, Gypsy, Tommy, La Cage aux Folles, Rag-time, Little Shop of Horrors, Baby, Damn Yankees, Fiddler on the Roof, Godspell, Into the Woods, I Do – I Do, Jane Eyre, A Little Night Music, West Side Story, Evita, Where’s Charley, The Wizard of Oz, Peter Pan, Once Upon a Mat-tress, Carousel, Big River, Footloose, Pirates of Penzance, South Pacific, Whoopee, Bells are Ring-ing, Brigadoon, Bye Bye Birdie, Cabaret, Nun-sense, My Fair Lady, Oliver, No No Nanette, Sweet Charity, Brigadoon, The 25th Annual Putnam Spelling Bee, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Legally Blonde as well as the operas Carmen, Turandot, and Die Fledermaus. Frank often participates in various events with the Florida State Thespians. He would like to thank his spouse of 25 years, Tim Huff, for all his support.
