In addition to community theater, she also has a history of performing for a number of years alongside some amazing furry and feathered co-stars at Sea World and Busch Gardens. Melissa is excited to be a part of this amazingly talented cast and sends special thanks to her boyfriend, family, friends and co-workers for all of the support they’ve given her throughout this process. She hopes you all enjoy the show but whatever you do, don’t feed the plants!

Patty would like to thank her family, friends, and community for their support. The support means the world, despite the obstacles many of us have faced and may continue to face as we work to gain normality again.
Patty would like to thank the NTP production team, as well as the director of the show, Mr. Thomas Pahl. None of this would have been possible without their dedication, teamwork, and guidance. Patty hopes you laugh and have a blast watching Little Shop of Horrors!
Sara Gutierrez: Chiffon
Sara is so excited for this show and it has always been a dream of hers to play one of the urchins. She is currently working with Alexandra Torres in vocal studies and is continuing her studies in musical theatre. She is very happy to be back doing another show with the New Tampa Players!
Tom Bronson: Orin Scrivello, DDS
This is Tom’s 8th bio and 8th performance space with New Tampa Players. He wrote his first bio for NTP when he was Milos in “Forum” about 16 years ago. That was a rather uneventful bio. Then NTP moved to a different space and he wrote another bio as Warbucks in “Annie”. He enjoyed that one because it focused on the different hairstyles he’s had in different shows (for obvious reasons). His bio as Candy Man in “Willy Wonka” was surprisingly uneventful considering that he met his future wife in that show. After NTP moved to the church, he did two more shows (“Sound of Music” and “She Loves Me”) and directed one (“Miracle Worker”). One of those was his favorite bio because it was written as a Mad Lib. Then he did “Quilt” with his wife and wrote a very serious bio due to the content of the show. That show toured, hence the 4 additional performance spaces. Which leads us to this bio…and this show…and this new space. Hopefully, you enjoy at least two of those three items.
Yoanivette Davila: Audrey II Puppeteer
This is Yoanivette’s first show outside of school and it has been so much fun! The cast is amazing, the songs are catchy, and it is an overall hilarious show. She hopes you enjoy the show as much as she has enjoyed being in it!
A Note from the Director
Director's Note:
Little Shop of Horrors holds a special place in my heart in my theater journey. I had the joy of playing many of the extraneous characters in the show in a New Tampa Players production, and then got to be eaten by the plant as Mushnik – in both those experiences, I realized what a fantastic piece of theater this is. It revitalizes and reinvents it’s source material in new and fun ways, has dynamic music and lyrics, and underneath its fantastic premise, is one of the funniest Broadway musicals ever.
I was so blessed to take the lessons of those experiences with the show and build not only a fantastic, immensely talented cast and crew, but also find ways to honor the show and its characters, and present the beloved show audiences expect, but find some new and interesting twists within it.
My one hope is that the joy and talent and hard work that went into the past two months carries out to the audience and that you have as much fun watching this as we did putting it all together.
-Thomas Pahl
