Directions to Uptown Stage:
Use your phone’s GPS to go to 2200 East Fowler Ave, Tampa, FL 33612. Park in the back of the mall near Burlington Coat Factory. While facing Burlington Coat Factory, follow the sidewalk to the left and between the apartment building and Burlington. Our back door has a red star on it.

All performances will be at the New Tampa Performing Arts Center on Hunter’s Lake Dr. in New Tampa.
New Tampa Players is looking for diverse, energetic, experienced actors and actresses for our cast of Little Shop of Horrors. All auditions are open, and all roles are open.
Audition Requirements:
General: Please arrive 15 minutes early to complete paperwork. Please bring a complete list of conflicts between August 11th and October 22nd.
Please bring a resume and headshot if you have them.
Vocal: Please prepare 16 bars of a musical theatre selection that best showcases your vocal talent. Please bring sheet music in the correct key, an accompanist will be provided.
Dance: Please come prepared to move with appropriate shoes. There will be a short dance routine to learn.
Little Shop of Horrors Summary:
The meek floral assistant Seymour Krelborn stumbles across a new breed of plant he names "Audrey II" - after his coworker crush. This foul-mouthed, R&B-singing carnivore promises unending fame and fortune to the down and out Krelborn as long as he keeps feeding it, BLOOD. Over time, though, Seymour discovers Audrey II's out of this world origins and intent towards global domination!
Roles:
Seymour Krelborn: Male, Age 25-35 (Tenor, Range A2-G4)
He is a genuine and well-meaning man who is clumsy and has poor social skills. He is also very insecure and easily walked over, yet he dreams of, and eventually becomes, a hero. who is taken for granted because of his clumsy ways and poor social skills.
Audrey: Female, Age 25 to 35 (Mezzo-Soprano, Range G#3-D5)
Bleached blond, incredibly beautiful woman but has little self-worth and education. She is very sweet at all times, yet also extremely vulnerable. The secret love of Seymour's life.
Mr. Mushnik: Male, Age 50 to 65 (Baritone, Range G2-F4)
The grizzled owner of the failing East Side flower shop and Seymour's nosy boss. He is profit-driven, greedy, and manipulative.
Orin Scrivello: Male, Age: 30 to 40 (Baritone, Range G2-G4)
The egotistical dentist with a passion for motorbikes, leather and sadistic behaviour. Audrey's abusive boyfriend, and the target of envy from Seymour.
The Plant (Audrey II): Any Gender, please note physical requirements
Audrey 2 Puppeteers: An anthropomorphic cross between a Venus flytrap and an avocado, the plant has an appetite for human flesh that is appeased by Seymour. Must have good physical strength, flexibility, and movement skills, and be able to support 70lbs for extended periods. Do not need to vocally audition.
Additional Puppeteers: Audrey 2 has two additional puppets that require different body sizes and physical strength. Do not need to vocally audition.
Voice Of the Plant: Male/Female (although Gender of the plant must be portrayed as Male), Age 20 to 50 (Baritone, Range G2-G4)
An actor/vocalist located offstage. The funky, R&B style voice is that of a conniving, street-smart 'villain.'
Crystal/Ronnette/Chiffon Female, Age: 20 to 35 (Mezzo-Soprano, Range Ab3-F5)
Crystal, Ronnette and Chiffon are diverse Street urchins, acting as the occasional Greek Chorus. Young, hip, sassy, and smart, these girls are the only ones who have a grip on reality. Strong dance and harmony skills.
Ensemble Male/Female, Age: 20-50, (Looking for all vocal ranges)
May be called to perform various backing vocals and supporting characters.
